Yes .They do not fit Receivers that over hang the barrel , such as SBI , Dlask. Works well with Ruger Receivers.

In theory that overhang could be machined off and then it will fit in the chassis.

Either that or modify the chassis.

Either one would pain me a little but it is a necessary evil.

B-P, Have you 'worked on' your Savage Rimfires to improve the triggers ? I have a 64 and a B-22-FV that both have ca 1# triggers and are very good IMO. And 1000G w/d paper is your friend, to polish ALL friction surfaces.

The Black Twisted spring on the left of Pic 2 is after 'Heating' with a lighter to 'near red hot' and cooling Slowly. These are the
T-springs for the A & B-22. My 64 just needed the sear spring replaced with the MCarbo one and the T-return spring with ca 1/3 bic spring, stretched to fit. The Accu-Blade spring can be replaced with a partial Bic spring, too.
Also, here is a PDF from another forum RE Savage trigger mods.
Thank you for the pics. It put things in perspective.
I replaced the spring in pic 2. I used a #10 grub screw. Half inch.
Where the small part of the spring sits is a tapped hole, that is where you insert and thread in screw. Leave quite a bit of it out so the new spring will slide over it like a collar. The screw acts as a pillar for the spring.
I sourced springs and screws from Amazon. $25 total.
It’s like a two stage now, it is vastly better than before.
Trail and error until you find the spring weight that is light but still strong enough to force reset.
