HAD one, great trigger, easiest way to get a shooting trigger. They say a KIDD is better but at a triple cost. So most shooters will get a BX and be happy.
Trigger prices all depend on your use and how much value you put in a CLEAN adjustable trigger. Theres a reason Kidd triggers are always sold out, even at their high price. From the BX triggers Ive tried I would get a trigger job done by Brimstone . I know people are going to argue about my opinion. Go to Cabelas and try 5 different BX triggers and theyll all be different in every way. No consistency. At the price difference for a KIDD{its huge} I dont think theyre for everyone. If you are trying to build the ultimate gun it will be a two stage Kidd trigger and once youve used it you will understand why its so much more money. Nothing comes close. Just my experience and opinion.
I have a bx in my takedown 10/22 and I been very happy with it. It’s not a sub 1 pound bench rest target trigger. But it breaks clean lightens the trigger pull by almost half and is a nice simple drop in swap.
I have a hard time buying a trigger from the company that puts a POS in there factory guns. VQ are nice as well as many others. The BX triggers should come in 10-22s imho.
Bx trigger should be their standard IMO. The factory ruger trigger is garbage. You have to jiggle the damn bolt around just to get it back into battery after its locked back.

I think you are talking about the auto-bolt release?
To my knowledge a BX trigger does not have it as a standard feature, but it takes about 5-10 minutes with a file to convert one.
But yes I agree that the BX trigger should be a standard feature on all factory 10/22's right from the get go, as the 7 lbs trigger is garbage.
Stock 10/22 triggers are for the fools who are careless with a firearm. IF you are safe and skilled then the BX is good enough for 95 percent of shooters. Others are looking for something special then of course the KIDD or one like it is best.
I got better results spending an hour working over a factory trigger than I saw with the BX I had.
Very little file on the hammer and then polish everything up and put in an MCarbo kit. Actually this came out nicer than my VQ kit trigger did.
This ^^^
BX triggers are much better than factory but as mentioned before, they are not all the same. When I bought my BX trigger I had the salesman bring a trigger pull weight gauge and out of the three in stock there was a 1 1/2 lb. difference between them. Ruger should be installing the BX on all new 10 - 22"s but I guess it is a sign of the times. Make it as cheap as possible for the masses and gouge for accessories. What a shame. Bill Ruger must be turning in his grave to see the poor quality firearms leaving his facility.
I personally think 2 stage Volquartsen triggers are superior to a Kidd trigger.
