10/22 "chicago" conversion kit

Wow, that's steep. You must really want to have that look to pay 550 to get the set up and drum mag....
I will stick to a hogue over moulded stock and a whistle pig.

I don't regret buying mine, but then my average gun purchase is $1000 ish or more. YRMV

I ordered one, great kit and great service from Hical. These are not cheap plastic kits, they have very nice walnut stocks and quality steel and aluminum parts.

Here's mine (since sold)

I bought the 'Squad Leader' kit from Hical and it is awesome!!! The machining and wood are very nice, not some crappy injection molded kit. I also bought a Dlask 12.5" sporter barrel from them, I highly recommend you get one of those too for the right look. I also intend to fin the barrel. This week I hope to make up a Cutts compensator for the 1/2-28 thread on the Dlask barrel and then the look will be complete.

The 'stick' mag isn't a mag, it is an appearance thing that fits on the 10 rounder. I didn't get one, but that is the impression I got on the website. I'll have to see if they have them in stock.

Hi ,The barrel is off a ruger compact 16" and a bit which I lightly finned on the lathe .060 deepest and progressively shallower down the taper and turned off the sight ramp .The muzzle break is cosmetic I turned it on the lathe out of 1" aluminum ,then used the mill making cuts and bored to slip over the barrel ,flush at the muzzle and held in place with a set screw .

The sight is the one that came in the kit and I added the ladder from an old 17 enfield sight and actually works well.

I spent some time on it but didn't get too carried away as it is only a 22

Cheers Peter
