10/22 "chicago" conversion kit

I have a friend that put one of these on a few years back, it looks cool and all but the functionality kinda sucks now. I cant remember why exactly because its been a few years since we had it at the range together but I think it was something about the sights being terrible. Maybe the kits got better by now though, but the overall look is pretty good.

X man. A few pics of progress so far will get lots of encouragement for you to complete yours. I didn't take many when I did mine, should have. Even hindsight needs glasses.

the kit I purchased was tight on the new 10/22, the new one has plastic parts, I also found if the screws tightening the aluminum to the ruger was tightened too much it caused the ruger parts to drag and not function, I took a dremel and removed a bit of material in the back corner and works great now, if you have the older ruger this issue does not show up, fun to shoot

Mine and many others have 10-22s that run over thie extra 500. If this is the gun you want to shoot, why not. I have a few guns worth over that that get used only rarely. Less than 100 rounds a year. My gopher guns will see over 2000 rds. Why not put money where you use it the most?
