Hey Gang!
I recently purchased a walnut 10/22 DSP stock off a great nutter here at CGN. (Thanks Spartan!)
When I received the stock, I stripped it of its sling studs and butt plate.
I then hollowed out the barrel channel to accept a heavy barrel and cut up in behind the grip to make it more pronounced, then filed and shaped it to blend into the butt stock.
I proceeded to sand the complete stock down to the original wood, re stained the checkering and gave it 8 coats of hand rubbed TRU-OIL with a light sanding of super fine steel wool in-between each coat.
I hope you like....
