I would like to build a tactical 10/22 from scratch.

I'm looking for

a factory reciever
Factory barrel (18 ish inch)
Factory trigger (I would replace the inner parts)
--------------------------------------------------
That's where I would like to start.

Then I would

Do auto bolt release
Change sear and hammer in trigger
Larger bolt
And some other stuff

My main reason is where can I pick up factory RUGER parts!?!?!?

I've searched the web with no luck.
I don't want to buy a plain ruger either because then I have a stock and some other stuff I don't want.

If someone can help I would really appreciate it!

You can't buy a factory reciever. Nobody in Canada will sell them, and nobody in the states will export them - except perhaps Brownells after you apply for an export license.

In general its hard to get a factory barrel, but you might be able to get one used since people sell them after purchasing after market barrels

Brownells does sell factory triggers and they're under $100 so you can get them shipped to you without an export license.

I don't know how much money you have, but if your going to build the rifle, you might as well go for aftermarket parts right off the bat. Get a good a tactical solution barrels from Wanstalls, they're tact drivers and are super light. Various trigger upgrades can also be purchased from Brownells, also try reliable in vancouver. They stock volquartsen parts. Dlask also makes aftermarket recievers.

If this is beyond your price range, consider buying the cheapest 10 22 you can find, and upgrade it from there.

Thanks for the reply.

You've just saved me some time searching!

I already have one 10/22- target modle, laminated stock, with heavy barrel 6-24 scope.

I would like to do the opposite for the other gun. Synthetic stock, adjustable butt stock, fore grip, lasers, lights, red dot, single point sling...ect.

I guess I'll try to find a used one, sounds like it would be my best bet.

Thanks again!

If anyone else has anything to add feel free to.
