10/22 heavy barell and bedding.

I have a Green mountain bull barrel and hogue overmold stock in the mail.

Do I need to bed this to have it shoot good? Or can I just drop it in?

If i should bed it do you have any advice? Should a gunsmith do it? how much do you think they would charge for such a service?

Should i buy the rimfire sports modified vblock?

What would you do?

Bed it and support both the attachment lug and under the barrel. The rear of the action could also use some help but that is something to look at with each stock.

The action really is floating unless supported - not good.

rimfirecentral will likely have lots of info and pics for bedding 10/22's. Of course, you can do it yourself. You just have to decide if you want to do it.
