Well I'm finally happy with the way I've got my 10/22. I forget the exact costs of the components which include:
-Tech sights (best purchase EVER - about $60ish)
-Muzzle brake (about $10ish)
-Fiberforce stock ($35ish)
-TI mags ($forget?)
-Standard 10/22 blued/wood
The cost for everything was well within the lower total which I wished to spend. You'll notice I haven't purchased the usual internals such as edge extractor, buffer, mag release; this is because my rifle has functioned absolutely perfectly so far without the need of the added expense; although I'm sure I will end up with the extended mag release and buffer soon.
Many people have commented that they think the ATI fiberforce stock is a p.o.s. and doesn't work with iron sights. I found the fit and finish to be just fine (especially for $35) and I plan on primering/texturizing/painting it soon anyway. The cheek weld is perfect for use with the Tech Sights.
I chose Tech Sights originally to be a bit different from all the red dots out there, I never guessed at how much fun and how accurate they are - I highly recommend them.
The final appearance kind of looks like the new Russain AN-94 IMO.
Anyway, here are a couple of pics (the plastic appears to have a lot of sheen with the harsh flash of my crappy camera, it is completely flat in person).
cheers,
BBQ
