Hi all !
Sorry for my English.
I have Ruger 10/22 "upgraded" to Krinker Plinker aka AKSU74. I use with it 25rnd mags from Buttler Creek. Some are hot lips and some are steel lips. What I found is that some times (most of the time on Hot Lips) my rounds are jammed. I check whole process of feeding and found that the main reason (maybe in my case only) is that mag is not firmly fixed in the action and may move up and down, back and front. When it is too much moved down, my action starts to jam the rounds. I tried to do simple modification and found it works perfect. No more jams. I tested it during this weekend and put 1 brick thru all my mags (steel lips and hot lips). No single jam.
Here I would like to share with you what I did:
The mod is very simple. I disassembled my Krinker and made two small holes in the action part where mag goes in. After that I screw in two small philips screws. Now when I am inserting mag these screws does not allow my mag to move back and hold it firmly inside. I can ajust these screws if needed. I am not sure if this mode may be usefull for all cases when rounds are jammed while using Buttler Creek mags (Mags still need to be cleaned). Also I did not test it with "Jam Line" mags yet since I do not have one, but I hope that this mod may work for some of us.
Tell me your opinion please
