10/22 loading problems

I switched to Federal 525's today and had the same problem with the hotlips mag. On the plus side, the factory mag seems to be better now that I have it tensioned properly.

The hot lips mag seems to be improving, and when I tried a buddy's used one it worked better. I guess I just need to give it some time.

I had 2 BC Steel Lips mags.....Modified the heck out of to get them to work properly.

Then I went back to factory mags and sold the BC mags...all problems solved! HA!

It ain't the ammo.
99% of the time it's the mags, the gun,or the guy using it.
How it shoots?,that can be the ammo

"Remington hollow points do not often feed well.

I bet thats the problem."

I'd agree with that responce 100% I've tried everything in my 1022 and it all jammed with my BC steel lips............lots of range time spent swearing and what not. Stay away from cheap ammo man. I now after months of hassling around with everything I could get my hands on, I only use CCI mini-mags. They feed and eject very well in all 4 of my BC mags and the factory one. I've personally seen many times that one particular brand will jam up like yours did and another brands will not. Don't forget to clean that chamber real good and just another note I only oil with rem dri lube on the rail and nowhere else and I now have 0 problems. Good luck.

It seems that it is possible for the extractor to also cause a problem related to feedlng. Something to do with timeing I belive
Get an Edge extractor and most problems go away MINE DID.
Also use factory clips.
Or stay the way it is and continue running into problems your choice but for 10-12 dollars it should seem like a no brainer.
Even my dealer when shown the cure came up with nobody wants to spend the extra dollars. As the song says HEERRRREEEES YOUR SIGN.

The hot lips mag seems to be causing most of the problems for me. I installed a new extractor, and it made NO DIFFERENCE.

CCI Stingers are the only thing that works well in my hot lips. I am going to try to strech the tension on the hot lips mag, like someone suggested. My gun is super-clean, and lightly dri-lubed, so the ammo and the cheap mag seem to be to blame.
