10/22 Magnum

Yes. It has been discontinued. They encountered a problem with the bolt cracking. Rumor has it that they are trying to solve the problem but only time will tell.

I have owned my 10/22 Magnum for almost 2 years and I have not had a single problem with it, knock on wood.

HOW IS YOUR SUPPLY OF 22 WMR AMMO OUT THERE? i CAN'T FIND ANY IN TOWN (WAL-MART. CANADIAN TIRE, HOME HARDWARE). IS THIS GOING TO BE A PROBLEM THIS YEAR?

I am in the same boat. I moved here from Regina in Aug and before I left I noticed that there was not too much kicking around.

Here in Medicine Hat, all I have been able to find are CCI Maxi Mag and Federal Premium 30 grain loads which cost and arm and a leg at the local gunshop so I haven't bought them.

My favorite Winchester Super X 40 grain JHP arn't anywhere to be seen. That is because Winchester moved their ammo manufacturing plant and production was haulted for a bit. I hope WMR ammo becomes more plentiful soon.

I've had a 10/22 mag since they came out...mine is a single extractor model...never gave me a hitch of trouble...mind you its not stock Ruger anymore...I keep saying I'm going to sell it then I take it out and shoot it and change my mind again.

Mine is also modified. The only thing left stock in it is the receiver, bolt and firing pin. Everything else is custom. I love the rifle. Each time I shoot it I remember how fun this thing is. :shotgun:
