They have been out of production for a number of years now. Rarely come up for sale as far as I know, and I'm sure at quite a premium.

Discontinued in 2006. Not seeing any aftermarket mags if you could find a used rifle.

Volqartsent makes and sells high cap (25 round) mags for the 10/22 WMR and rifles chambered in .17 HMR.

Rumour has it that Ruger discontinued the magnum for marketing reasons. It was the only 10/22 to be made with a steel receiver. There were reports of the new high velocity ammunition cracking the receiver, so Ruger decided to discontinue the entire line rather than recitify the problem.

If you just want semiauto 22 magnum then have a look at 597's, great rifle. I own one and very biased of course.

Ive had both , still have the 597 heavy barreled model ,great gun would be nice if there were 25 rounders for it though

Too bad they discontinued. I would of considered picking one up. I still think that .22wmr in Bolt action is the way to go.
