I have a Ruger 10-22 International that my father bought for me 15 years ago......wow, it does not seem that long ago. I have pulled the trigger assembly apart and put some new parts in it to give it a nive feeling trigger; the trigger is quite nive now. I was considering buying a CZ 452 LH since the accuracy on the Ruger is passable, but I wanted something a bit down from target grade. My barrier with the 10/22 is that I want to keep the stock on the rifle since my father paid more than I had expected since he liked the looks and wanted something I would keep around.

I have looked in the past for a match grade 10-22 barrel that match the exact length and contour of the original with no luck; I thought I would check with you gentlemen to see if anyone has had any more luck than I have.

Shilen makes 20" "standard" contour barrels for the 10/22, but I don't know if that is Shilen's standard or Ruger's standard. I bet Mysticplayer could tell you, though. He sells a variety of pre-chambered barrels from Shilen and others, for both rimfire and centerfire.

The Shilen sporter contour is going to be pretty close to the factory contour minus provisions to mount the open sights.

These barrels shoot really really well with match ammo.

McGowen can also provide sporter contour barrels for the 10/22.
