Hey All,

I was just wondering if it is at all possible to take an M1 Carbine folding stock and throw in the 10/22 action? If not (which i assume its impossible) is there any way of making a 22 look like an m1?

Muchos Gracias

The latest edition of "SHOTGUN NEWS" has some pictures of a 10-22 that was made to look like a M-1 carbine and the gunsmith is now making a 10-22 look like a Garand. It might be possible to take the pistol grip and folding part of the M-1 carbine and adapt it to the 10-22 wood stock. Much cheaper to just buy a Butler Creek side folding stock for the 10-22, the M1A1 folding stocks cost more than a whole 10-22 does..

If you go to Rimfire Central you will be able to get the outline and dimensions for the inletting to fit the 10/22. That will save you a bunch of time and guessing.

Marlin made a .22 that looked very similar to an M1 carbine. I don't know the name or model number but it was a very ###y rifle. I've only seen one.
