ok I don't know much about 10 22 s, but I want to end up with a shorty 10 22. I think as long as I am 26 inches overall, I should be able to keep it non rest. ??? am I right? Any ideas? I could buy one from Dlask. I would prefer rifle sights. I could buy a ruger sr22, but it is a little to AR looking for what I want. Feel free to give me some ideas, thanks..

26 inches and barrel length of more than 457 mm. If you modify the barrel below that its prohib, I believe.

As long as the overall length is longer than 26 inches your good. You can buy a 8 inch barrel from dlask. Well worth the money. I find they look to short and prefer the 12 inch barrel.

So the barrel length does not matter? As long as I am 26 in then I am good, a charger barrel might work then. Talked to a lady at dlask she said you can go to 11 inch with that hogue stock...and still be legal.

ive got a Dlask with a 8" barrel and a comp on it and i love it!
a co worker has the Dlask with the 10" barrel and a comp on a Hogue stock and it is just as nice!

really going either way is good, you just need to pick which one feels better.
the hogue stock is a traditional feeling stock where the Dlask ones are on the Boyd evolution ambi-thumbhole stocks which feel totally different to hold.

me personally i like the Boyd.
but there is a price difference of around $200 between the 2, the Hogue being the cheaper way to get into it.

Dlask 8" on a Boyd (ignore the mag, its a new toy i was playing with on the weekend)

here is one out of the pic thread from Langbanger - keep in mind this is the 12" barrel not the 10" so you could knock 2" off the barrel to get it flush with the stock.
