Thinking about buying a .22 for grouse hunting, mostly, and the local gunshop has a number of different names. I can get the 10/22 for $300 total. Is this a good price? It wasn't a fancy one, just the plain carbine. I haven't use .22s very much, mostly a centerfire nut. There was also a Norinco ??20 for 199 plus tax. Didn't really like that, looked like a toy. Any opinions, please.

Thanks for the input. I do have Wholesale Sports and SIR catalogues but in a lot of cases, prices are not up to date. $300, taxInc and without shipping charges might not be a bad price then. I like the fact that these guns are drilled for scope, some are not.

I placed an order at Wholesale Sports 21 days ago, might be about time to call to see where it's at. They might have just lost my gun order.
