I am trying to figure out if I made a mistake not buying a 10/22 today. Was at a gun show and the gun was one of those 10/22 dealer exclusive green/brown stocks. It had a Barska scope, the model number I couldn’t figure out, obviously picatinny rail and swivel stud mounts installed. Price was $420.

I think it is probably a good everyday deal but I am unsure if it was a great deal and I should be feeling some regret with leaving it on the table.

$420 for a 10/22? Was it signed by Rick James? That's a ripoff. Barska makes cheap optics, like NC Star. IMO if it costs more than $250 new then you're not getting a deal at all. Gun shows are notorious for price gougers trying to cash in on the uninformed new shooters. You'd be amazed at the ripping off that goes on at gun shows. I don't invest the time and gas in going to them very often anymore because of this.

You went to a gun show and saw something you liked.
Made a decision and purchased it.
Nothing can change this fact, so go out and enjoy it.

And to others that bash gun shows, you're not helping any of us with your negative views
for those who do enjoy this outing.

^ you must have speed read the OP's statement… If anything, we helped them feel better about their decision.

You're right........................... zooooooooomed over my head, thought it was a buyers remorse.
Then why bother sobbing on a non purchase.
If indecisive, grab a business card so there are options after the sale if you change your mind.
Read looky read.........doesn't help watching the hockey game and multi tasking.

Faaaaaaack, my spell'in is more better.

Thanks all, makes me feel a little better.

The other 10/22 I was looking at was a standard synthetic stock with stainless barrel and a Bushnell Banner for $296. Sounds like that would have been more reasonable.

Their optics get good reviews for the price point. With that being said, you can buy a 10/22, a rail and the scope in the $300 ballpark. $420? That's the reason why I avoid gun shows like the plague. I paid $237 plus tax for my 10/22 from Al Flaherty's (out of stock at the moment). Now a stock can come out to $100-200, but that should be something YOU choose. Just tell us what you wanna do with that rifle and we'll be more than happy to give you a few tips on Barbieing it out for your needds ;) The one with the Bushnell would have been a more reasonable deal as it's a $100 new scope, but again, we don't know what you wanna do with that rifle so we can't offer any tips until you do :)
