Hi all, hopefully this isn't a repeat question but I'm struggling with the search engine on this site...
I have a brand new 10/22 and it's firing well but on my first venture out I noted that I would consistently get a failure to feed on the third round whenever the mag was loaded to it's 10-round capacity. I tried loading it up to a lower amount sequentially and found that on ten shots it jammed consistently, nine shots it jammed a few times but more randomly, eight and fewer I had no failures.
Are the springs in fresh magazines relatively stiff? I am expecting it needs time to work-in, but maybe I am wrong and this is a defect.
