Hi Folks!

I bought a used 10/22, and when I received it I noticed that the muzzle has some scratches.
I'm wondering if something like that would have any effect on the accuracy of the gun or not? Would it make sense to get it fixed? This is just a stock 10/22 td. Pic below:

Thanks in advance!

This is actually a fairly common issue with newer 10/22s for some reason. Either way you can carefully face off the muzzle with a jewelers file until the gouge is gone, leaving plenty enough crown behind. Does not hurt accuracy. But after firing if you have a nice even star pattern from the gasses and it shoots fine then don't bother messing with it.
