10/22 Sporter sling studs

Are the studs on Ruger 10/22 Sporters threaded into the stock? I want to replace the factory studs with QD studs. I have applied as much force as im willing to and they will not turn.

yes they are just threaded in/ Shouldnt be that hard. You can actually cut the loop off those swivels and drill the hole out and you are left with a qd stud. I think a 1/8" drill bit is big enough.
