So I was lucky enough to get the last 10/22 takedown that Gary at Wanstalls was able to get. Gary and the gang are a top notch operation, from start to finish they took care of my order. Enough ass kissing, package arrived, here is what I got:

Yes I bought a TI25 magazine, when in Rome..... (I'll do a review of that in another thread if anyone is interested).

The carry bag is pretty well made, I do think the plastic strap buckles will break though, they seem pretty flimsy, but finding a better strap shouldn't be an issue.

As you Can see from the pictures, there are tool marks, but for a utility rifle its rock solid, Everything feels tight and sturdy.

Scope base is included and mounts easy as butter with a flathead screwdriver.

One thing I noticed, once the scope is mounted it doesn't fit in the case as snuggly as in the you tube videos, it does fit, but the pocket flap won't reach the velcro, perhaps it was my scope, perhaps...

Thats all the review I can do for now, but Stay tunned for a range report maybe tomorrow.

I only handled it for about 20 minutes, most of that was taking pictures and mounting the scope, this was a first impressions type of post, I'll update once I get to the range and tighten things up.

By all means do a mini review of the Ti25 mag. I got two of them and well..they seem to be junk as I can't fit more than 15-20 in them without breaking my damn thumb and denting the bullet casing... Nice take down rifle though and from the other reviews I have seen that gap is normal :( .

I have handled 3 of these rifles and the gap is normal but the lock up is tight as ever on all rifles I handled. (no play what so ever as long as you have it adjusted properly) Great rifle in my opinion. I will be shooting mine this week to test for accuracy and compare to my other 10/22's

If that's the best job Ruger could do of making the two pieces of the stock fit together, maybe they should have considered eliminating the front section of stock altogether, as on the Marlin Papoose. I would love to see a side-by-side comparison of those two guns.

I like the Papoose, but never really cared for the appearance with no fore-end. Now that I see the alternative, I guess the naked barrel doesn't look so bad after all.
