10/22 takedown heavy barrel

I have held one at shop but never shot one, I then opted to purchasing a Magpul stainless back packer model with the sporter barrel. I love the gun for its compact and LIGHTweight nature. It’s a fun gun for plinking off hand. So for that purpose the lighter barrel was a better choice for me. Mines more the accurate enuff for my 25 yard plinking. And even out to 100 yards it does reasonably well I feel (I have better options for that purpose though so only taken it out to that a couple times).

I use the volquartsen carbon barrel on mine. Basically a "heavy" barrel size, without all the weight. Has the integrated optics mount onto the barrel. Is my grouse getter, and has worked excellent for the years I've had it.

They are hard to find, but worth the effort.

I have one. Drilled a tapped the barrel for optics. Got the special mount out of the US years ago but I have noticed Dlask now makes them. Most accurate semi 22LR I have ever owned or shot. If one shows up in the EE or at a retailer, grab it.

I really agree with the optics being barrel mounted for accuracy on the 10/22 breakdown. I have tried everything to get the level of accuracy to an acceptable level with an action mounted optic. Still 2-3 MOA on good day. I am going to go the Dhask route.

Candocad.

Is it possible to say 10/22, Take-down and accuracy all in the same sentence....jk
I only have one semi-auto .22lr rifle and it's a recent purchase of a DLASK 9" TD in a Magpul x22 Backpacker stock. A Vortex 2MOA red dot is mounted on the receiver with a DLASK 10MOA rail.
If I can chase golf balls around the field at 25yrds off-hand then it's accurate enough for me........YMMV
