10/22 takedown?

OK need some opinions...

I am wanting to buy a 10/22

I have wanted the takedown but also saw the green and black laminate 50th Anniversary for $329. No - at this point I will not buy both (although that may well happen later...)

So for now...

1. Anyone know of any screaming deal on a takedown out there?
2. Would I just be better off to buy the green/black one (I love the look up he stock)

Thanks for any help with my dilemma!
 
I have the take down and its a nice little shooter. packs small,stainless steel and endless after market options. For the money you can't go wrong with the 10/22
 
I have both. I love the takedown for plinking, but it isn't as consistently accurate as my regular 10/22 beyond 25 yards. Both are fun and I'll never sell either of them, but I believe the takedown mechanism compromises the accuracy potential of the rifle.
 
I switched barrels out on my takedown to the Tacatical Solutions SBX barrel, shaved weight and haven't noticed any real difference in accuracy, except when I use different ammo. To the OP the best deal I could find was from PGT lowest price and super fast shipping!
