I've got a old ruger 10/22 and I've wanted to upgrade the barrel for better accuracy but I like the stock tapered barrel for it's light weight. Most of the aftermarket barrels i see are heavy profile, would it be worth getting another barrel that's the same profile as stock? I would like to keep my stock as well so bull barrel is out.
