Took my blued TD out and smoked a few gophers this afternoon. I have an el cheapo Tasco red dot on it. Wicked little gun on gophers! Bought two red dot Tascos, one for $40 and the other for $45. Bought a few Westinghouse batteries for $1 each. I figure the problem will be forgetting to shut the scope off, so might as well run a $1 battery down compared to a $7 one. 
I liked the little TD enough that I bought a second one and will likely keep it up north at my other abode. The one I used has had zero feed or fire problems. I was using the magazine that came with it. I have a bag full of various mags and will give them all a whirl.
The carry bag fits really nice under the rear LH seat on my wife's pickup. I have an extra one to carry a short single shot 12 ga. as well.
When I sighted the rifle and red dot in at my friend's place, we were both impressed with the way the rifle shot. Hope the second one is as good!
