I just finished swapping barrels on my 10/22. All I can say is wow that was easy.
Having heard advice of heating the action I figured this thing wouldn't budge without some force. Wrong. Locked the bolt back, gave the barrel a couple twists and off it came.
The SR22 barrel I bought slipped in equally easy. Lined it up and reinstalled the barrel block.
Sighted it in and very pleased with the result. Now if only we had prairie dogs in NL.
