10/22 triger spring?!

I was disassembling my 10/22 trigger group and this spring flew out and I can't find it!

So I need to find a replacement, but I don't know what its called....can anyone help me out?

b53 - b54 shot out of my gun hard when I took them apart ricocheted around a couple times and I actually found them.

it seems to extract and cycle fin without the spring...perhaps its not really needed?

it is the spring that latches keeps the bolt open when you activate the bolt latch.

it is not needed to feed, shoot, or extract. only to hold the bolt open when needed.

try western gun parts, brownells, or failing that, ruger.

are you sure it's lost for good? it might turn up.

X3 - never to be found again

Then I got a real slick tool from nutter Oldsbill for just this problem

Takes about 5 seconds to remove the safety detent/spring and re-install.

Life is so much better
