i dont see how you can go so far as to say that a home made trigger job is comparable to a custom kidd single stage trigger. they are completely different. from objective measurements the kidd pack has a lower pull weight, less take up, less over travel, and a stronger hammer impact resulting in harder firing pin strikes. they also accomplish this all while being completely safe. if you attempted to lower the pull weight and take up to what the kidd single stage has using a standard ruger trigger design it would not be considered nearly as safe and you would have an increased chance of accidental discharges.
whether you see the value in the custom trigger packs is your own decision. however, i can provide objective evidence that a trigger job is not equal is not comparable to a custom pack. this not only applies to kidd triggers but to all custom trigger packs from other companies.
