Hi, I have gone through all the posts and polished all my trigger parts. But I don't see anywhere that it says to reduce to say 1.5 to 2 #s trigger pull do this. Can anyone help?
Thanks.

X3 on the go slow part

I have mine down to 1.5 lbs at present. If I flip the Trigger return spring and the plunger so the spring is against the trigger shoe it may go down another oz. The best I ever had it was 1.3lbs.

1.5 pounds is too light for any non-target .22. Touch the trigger and it'll go off.

Touch the trigger and it'll go off .... I thought that was the idea! :D

It is very hard to get the trigger CRISP and under 2 pounds... to me crisp is more important than super light..

eyes when your are wanting to shoot to see what the guns true potential is. I would not hesitate one minute in using mine out in a gopher patch. I know what I have done to it and how well it performs.

1022 trigger job

Or you could get a qualified gunsmith to do it for about $60 and end up with the correct trigger pull for your application. Whatever metal you take off shortens the life of the parts. Bits of Pieces (Barry Jensen) has done 3 of my Rugers 77mkII, No 1b and 1022 and all are quite nice to use. Plus if he screws up a bit he replaces it. Works for me. I like about a 3lb pull, not too light or tight. Plus he has a digital scale so he knows what he has.

I worked on my 10/22 trigger and got it down to about 2 pounds. Just go real slow and you will be fine. TO get it down this low you have to changet the angles around on the hammer a bit by grinding off the hook to around 3.9 degrees or something like that. If you take to much off you can have a lot of problems. Just go slow and test it after each little bit to the point where you are satisfied.
