10/22 Triggers…..what is the best?

Opinions welcome on the best 10/22 trigger out there please.

For hunting, plonking or serious target shooting. The answer will be different for each.

Timney or KIDD single stage, whatever you prefer based on looks and price.
Had both, didn't notice much of a difference, all be it they're both in the 500$ range now

The Ruger BX trigger is a turd, IMO, you can polish all the internals on a stock trigger and it will be identical to a BX trigger (if your looking at a budget choice) I have done this to countless 10/22s, personally built over a dozen customs for friends and family.

While your in there, file down the bolt release catch to do an auto bolt release mod, this will allow you to close the bolt after inserting a mag just by pulling the bolt back like any other semi auto (and not fingering the release). There are plenty of YouTube videos for this

Question....if the BX trigger is a turd why would you spend your time and effort to polish the OEM to be like the BX?

Wow. The Kidd trigger kits are now over $300cdn. A few months ago they were $215.

It doesn't take long before the goodies attached to a 10/22 are worth more than a new rifle itself... The precision rimfire rabbit hole is a deep one!

On the 10/22 I use for Speed Steel I have a Timney.
The 0.920 Dlask barrelled 10/22 has a KIDD trigger kit.
Both are under 3 lbs.
