I'm thinking about listing my ruger 10-22 but I realize I actually don't know what the thing is worth.

It's got the "stainless" aluminum receiver ,
16" Threaded and capped Blued barrel
Bx trigger
Blue/dark grey hogue stock (the stock has wear marks on it but is perfectly serviceable)
Currently wearing a nikon prostaff rimfire 3-9x40 bdc
What are extra 10 round mags worth? Are the "clear" ones worth more

Any ideas on value?

I realized that I never use the thing

In practical terms . . . what are you going to use for a "chicken gun"?

Stainless and aluminum are not synonymous.
Your history with the rifle and pictures would be a definite asset.
The threaded barrel might imply a newer rifle or added later as does the BX trigger. Some work done after the original purchase might be the case so some buyers may not consider this as detracting from the value.
Was the rifle registered with Ruger and that may give you an idea for it's history . . . the serial number can be checked on the SturmRuger site.
The clear mags are an asset in the field or the range for a quick count of remaining rounds . . . both are worth the same at Cabela's.

For grouse I've started using a 20g. Swatting them on the fly is a pile of fun :)
If the 10-22 isn't really worth much I might as well hold on to it or give it away locally

Thanks guys
