10/22 Volquartsen hammer - now trigger won't reset

Got to the range for the first time after putting the VQ hammer in and now my trigger won't reset unless I push the trigger forward. Looks like the trigger plunger spring that comes with the new hammer isn't strong enough to push the trigger out. Anyone else have this problem? Should I just throw the factory spring back in?

It might be one of these situations:


You have mixed the trigger plunger spring with the disconnector spring.
Switch them back and it will reset.

OR

If you say that the hammer came with a trigger plunger spring,
it is possible that you have used the old trigger plunger spring
in the role of disconnector spring.
Put the disconnector spring back in and it will reset.

OR

The thing that came with your hammer
is not a trigger plunger spring, but a disconnector spring.
If you use it in the role of trigger plunger spring,
it is not strong enough to reset the trigger mechanism.





Whatever you do,
you can differentiate them if you keep in mind that
the disconnector spring is supposed to be weaker
than the trigger plunger spring.
