You guys haven't shopped for one lately, have you? Ruger is months behind on orders and most places are back ordered into February or later next year. If there are any in stock they are usually asking a ridiculous price for it.

Have you been shopping around?
After 1 minute of searching I found a couple stores that have them in stock at the moment...for $240....

They kept saying ruger has been back ordered since the start of the year...and yet 10/22 are easily found in every gun store..

Al Flaherty's and wholesale sports have them...for $240.

Which WSS has them actually in stock? Calgary has none and their mail order showed -5 last time I called them. The in store WSS price is $269, too, not the $239 listed on their website. Flaherty's is out of stock, as noted on their website.

Our LGS has a couple dozen in stock in various configurations, including the basic hardwood stocked version... OP, PM me if you are serious about one... the LGS will ship.

Call Lequille Country Store here in NS, ask for Danny (the owner), he has several different models of 10/22's, and what he doesn't have he gets in shortly there after. Last time I was there (about a month or so ago) he had 2 of all of Rugers models of 10/22 but a couple and they were on back-order, he will price match and ship across Canada. They have a website but they are still loading inventory onto it. (902) 532-5362. I've pointed a couple other CGNers in his direction as he doesn't have the large internet exposure, but if he doesn't have what you want, he'll get it for you.

PM sent.

andrew3081, I wasn't trying to be a #### about my reply, I do appreciate the help. I was rushed for time and it came out a bit abrupt as typing can often do.

Al flahertys is out of stock on the takedown and the least expensive model.

I am trying to find a takedown but no one I have contacted or who's website I have visited has one.

Hamilton Fishing World had the take-down version yesterday. I know because I was there handling it. :) Unfortunately, I was looking for the basic synthetic stock version (the cheapest), and they didn't have it. The only other one they had was a laminate/wood stock version.

I was just at my local gunshop. After being there an hour we got talking and someone mentioned ruger. I said I was trying to get a 10/22 takedown. The store owner goes in back and comes out with a box and hands it to me. He got one in months ago and just never put it on the shelf.

Needless to say it came home with me.

Talk about timing.

lol I was just there last night holding the very same guns. I didn't buy only because the barrel/action was silver on both models and I wanted black since I'll probably be modding the stock to a tactical AR style. I just ordered a black 10/22 from SFRC which appeared to be their last one..
