10/22 with aftermarket stocks

Depends which stock, like hogue one, it will have spaces between barrel and stock, like the one I am selling Premier II Target Stock Ruger 10/22, it already has spaces at the bottom of barrel and stock itself, how will it look, cannot tell, never tried, but in my opinion not that great as with bull barrel as stock barrel look much smaller.

Just wondering if aftermarket stocks built for the 10/22 "bull" barrel, will work on the 10/22 standard barrel. If so, how bad will it look?

Jason.

Yes they will work. Some aftermarket stocks can be had for the sporter barrels, but not near as many as there are for the bull barrels. To think about how big the gap will be: Most aftermarket stocks have a barrel channel carved out at about .96" or so I believe (to allow for free floating the barrel a bit). Near the end of the forend a sporter barrel leaves the stock it might measure around .7" or so? (not sure on that number as I sold my factory barrel). But say that it is .7. .96 minus .7 = .26" leaving you with .13" on either side of the barrel. Maybe not quite so bad - depends on personal preference.
