ok what is good? I am averaging about 4-5 inches during steady fire.. both with BUIS and with Aimpoint. Shooting one round about every 3 seconds or less. Any tips on how I can get abit better? Going out tonight to freeze and try it again. Groupings are abit low to the right. Need to adjust the Red dot and BUIS up abit. :onCrack:
 
off hand..standing.. Aimpoint type and also Troy BUIS. Using the mini peep on the Troy. At BRRC>> damn its cold!!!!
 
lol Im suppose to be there at 12- I told my buddy if hes late this time IM gonna dump his coffee out in the parking lot.. Dont forget the spacesuit..its gonna be -50 in there with the fans on...
 
For standing and shooting off-hand in the cold - 4~5" groups at 50m is ok in my books :) (I think that's what I'd be doing) - Make a rest and then tell us how is does ;).

yeah after I was done, I was trying to figure out how some ####ers get dime sized groups with Iron sites on AR at much much longer range...
 
Get a air rifle and set a target box up in the basement or garage. Use a real small target and try to work time for 50 shots a day or so in to you schedule. Pellets can be had for $3-5 a 500 so its cheap. You don’t need a expensive rifle. I used a Marksmen Biathlon was about $75 at CT. When it comes to offhand shooting the more trigger time the better.

Off of the bench with mechanical rests/bipods.........;)

Seriously, I don't see anything wrong with 4 to 5" groups off-hand @ 50 meters.I little more practice could probably shrink that a bit.

At 100 meters with my CQB AR (LMT 10.5" barrelled upper) I can nail a 12" X 12" steel plate everytime using an Aimpoint shooting off-hand. I am more then happy with that.:D

hey did I miss you guys? Was it three of you leaving around 1230ish on Friday? I was alittle late, cause I had to smoke a cuban cigar and drink my coffee in the parking lot before going in. We should set up another time to meet.
