Hey guys, I'm looking to purchase one of either of these rifles in 6.5CM. I'm pretty sold on the 10 BA, but haven't seen a lot of first hand reports regarding it, whereas there's pages of first hand reports on the RPR. Would anyone care to share their experiences with the 10 BA? I'd also be interested in hearing about the newer production RPR's. Pretty much looking for opinions on build quality and consistency out of the box.

I guess I'll also state my intended uses. Looking for a rifle to start getting into long range target shooting, that may also pull double duty as a coyote gun. My long range shooting to date has been pretty limited to ~400yd's, what I feel comfortable taking a Moose or Deer at with my hunting rifle. I'll probably be starting out at 4-500m and work my way out to 1000m. What either of these offerings provide seems to be excellent bang for buck. I'll be topping it with a Sightron SIII, exact model tbd but probably a SIIISS832x56LRMOA-2. Thinking about their 10-50x60 option as well.

No first hand experience but just wanted to say the reason there is not much on the 10 BA is because the RPR had a 1 year head start offering all these modular features. It's the same reason you don't hear much about the weatherby vanguard modular chassis (the h-bar series) and why other companies like Winchester (offering the XPC) and Bergara (LRP -now lowering price) moving in the same direction.

got my mittens on the Vanguard modular. I like it, the MOA guarantee with MDT chassis basically. Feels good, definitely a primo and attractive start.

I have my weatherby vanguard Varmint pulling double duty as a yote rig and target rifle.

How much are they about??

Whoops I like the Varmint one you have better. What stock is that?

Also OP, for me the Savage would be the one I would choose over the RPR, as i would want to carry it around and it feels lighter.

I have the varmint, with a bell and Carlson target/competition stock with a legacy mag kit... I love the stock, the mag kit is.. Meh.. I would prefer metal, but its better then dropping rounds all in the snow when downloading to go to next spot.

I haven't shot the Stealth, Savage says its blue printed so it should be a shooter for sure. I've got other savages with the accu-trigger and I like them.

My biggest complaint about my RPR is the trigger, waiting on a pre-order Timney from Mystic.

I like the looks of the RPR better but thats a personal thing. :)

Yeah there's a RPR in .243 with a XTRII on it at Prophet, I think it was $2700. Don't want a .243 though, if it were in 6.5CM I probably would have found the money for a deposit. The good news is Prophet has my optic and everything except a bipod for whatever rifle I pick up.

I have the same gripe about the RPR...my trigger has some nasty creep, probably worst Ive ever had on a rifle. The good thing is it fits me perfect and shoots extremely well. Im also anxiously awaiting a replacement trigger. Trigger Tech would be sweet.

I picked up on a 10 BA Stealth in 6.5CM over the weekend. Be taking it in to get fitted for glass and a brake later this week, and hopefully out to the range the weekend after.

On-call shift gets in the road of shooting this week...

I was really torn between the RPR and Stealth (still am) but an RPR popped up at the right cash first

That buttstock finishes it off nicely, only other thing a Stealth needs is a muzzle brake I reckon

No .308 needs a muzzle brake. The fact the RPR comes with one is an added bonus. I know very little about the Stealth but it appears it also comes with a factory Brake. Anyone that owns one please confirm. My money went toward the RPR.

The Stealth does not come with a muzzle brake, however I would fit one (personal preference)

I also went with a gen 2 RPR in 6.5

Here's my 10BA Stealth in 6.5CM, topped with a Sightron SIII 8-32x56 with the MOA-2 reticle and Tactical Knobs in Nightforce rings, and an APA Lil' Bastard Gen2 Brake. I haven't taken it out yet, was on call this weekend, hopefully this weekend has some decent weather. A 20-30 MOA rail will probably be needed later.
