10 Ga. ammo for old shotgun

A friend purchased a Winchester lever shotgun in 10 gauge. Does anyone know where he can purchase ammo(reduced loads?) for it .Does he need to use BP only? Thanking you in advance for any information.

I don't think any company is loading 2 7/8" 10 bore shells - everything you find in 10 bore nowadays is 3 1/2" which is too much for the old Winny. I think his best bet is going to be reloading. There are lots of sites with info for reloading low pressure or black powder shells on the net - you should be able to find something from a quick search.
