Hey guys , has anyone experimented with large lead or buckshot loads for the 10 gauge?. i would highly appreciate some load recipes/suggestions that have been tested before i buy a bunch of crap that i do not need. it sure would be nice to find some Steel, Bluedot, or 4756 powder but it just does not seem to be available in Canada. Can we start a no BS 10 gauge loading thread here?

I haven't reloaded but I have some Remington nitro mags 3.5" 1-7/8 oz #2 lead. They cancel a coyotes afternoon plans real quick.
Maybe try to replicate that load

I only shoot a few boxes a year for geese so I never bothered to load. I've thought about loading for mine for skeet with #8 but it's far down the list of things to do

I've been saving all my hulls to load sooner or later. From the manuals I have read some very impressive loads can be made. 2 1/2 oz of BB would be a good coyote killer. I have also found a mold that casts 1080grn slugs. The only thing stopping me from buying it is no idea whatsoever on how to safely start loading it.

Order a ballastic products buck shot manual for starters
I have always used blue bot, win primers, sp10 wads and remington hulls with no. 4 buck
makes a mess at close ranges but more effective than BB
Cheers

They carry hulls and the works............i can send you data if you PM me your mailing address..........Harold
