10 inch AR Handguard install how to? I cant figure this out.

I dont know if it's the gun the hand guards or I'm just a moron but I bought some brownells skinny CAR 15 style skinny handguards to replace the OEM fat ones and I cant for the life of me figure out how to get them installed. Keeping in the theme of cheaping out I also bought a NC star hand guard removal tool which isn't much help. Come to think of it I cant also get the OEM hand guards back on either.#

Any tricks to get these things installed.

They can be a pain.

With thew rifle fully assembled, place the handguard tool over the barrel and down to the delta ring. Hook the tool into the magwell and squeeze the handles together while pulling down on the delta ring - it can be tough. A slight twist and to should be able to remove one side and then the other.

Assembly is the reverse.

Thanks!! I got the OEM guards back on the the brownells are a no go, guess that's why he was selling them for so cheap oh well.

There were 2 styles of delta rings. Round and triangular.

Take a picture of the receiver end.
