Hello Guys,

There is probably a thread on this already, just can't be bothered to look. Is there any information on who will be making the replacement for the CProducts 10 round AR magazines. Not those plastic ones that are coming, but the actual metal ones that will be just like the CProducts ones.
 
We seriously need a sticky for these 10 rounder questions
(your is unique as far as I can tell; but for people asking if they are legal)
and then just update it with all new questions as they arise. such as this one.
 
Yes, I can't believe that there are still AR shooters in this country that do not know that the 10 round AR Pistol magazines made by CProducts are legal, which opened the door. There are those new plastic ones, which are coming (or are here, don't know, don't want them anyway). I know that CProducts is gone and was just wondering how quickly the actual good replacements for them would be forthcoming.

I was thinking more along the lines of reading the regulations, but I guess it is true that not everyone reads the things and even less people understand them.

The Cproduct business has been picked up by a family member, and is now operating under the new name lcjwholesalestore.com.

I spoke with the owner, who advised me that they would be up and running, punching out new magazines by the summer. He also indicated that it would be unlikely that they would be making pinned magazines for the Canadian market, although they still have some old c-product stock left.

ASC appears to be a second reincarnation of the CProducts company, who have taken up the torch for Canadian-legal products. Apparently they'll have magazines ready soon, they are just waiting for the tooling to pin the magazines... apparently expected to be operational in a few weeks.
 
If the manufacture is talking about "pinning magazines for Canada" than they are not talking about LAR15 magazines.

Not just any 10 round magazine can be called LAR15 pistol magazines, they have to be specificlly stamped as pistol magazine for FOR RRA MODEL LAR15 PISTOL

Arrangements have already been made for ASC to supply Canadian retailers looking to fill the gap left by the cproducts bankruptcy. I have the distinct impression that it will included 10 round AR mags, stamped with the magic words....

I would question your asumption that the CProducts magazines are the "good ones" as your thread title suggests. I can't say what the quality of the 10rd mags coming in will be but if it's anything like the 30/5 thermold mag I have they should be exellent.

I bought 3 of the CProduct ones and I can't say the same. I had to cut 2 links off what appeared to be a 20rd mag spring and polish the feed lips to get the first round to feed.:(
