I got myself a M1A, and was wondering if the 10-round E-Lander AIA mags are any good with the Springfield rifles?

From what I saw on YouTube, there are not all that great feeding....M305s

I made searches here and on Google, and cannot find any sources talking about reliability of these mags

They are not DESIGNED for the m14 action so they don't work 100% of the time that is also the reason you can use them in a m14 action. same goes for aa700 mags.

NewGunner7.62 is correct they are not designed for that action. I think it boils down to how its worked from personal experience though as well. I've been fortunate, and after a little over 1000 rounds I have yet to have any issues *knock on wood

Haven't had any problems with mine. I could see them coming unseated in certain situations. The square notch on M1A mags that catches the op rod spring guide isn't there so it's just the pressure on the point of it and the mag catch holding it there. I might be nervous hiking around with it, but for bench shooting, it's been good.

I have found that if you run around lots with the rifle it may fail to feed, do to the mag moving just enough to change the angle of the fed round enough to jam it. I also tried a magwedge and put two together, that was heavy enough that it resulted in the same issue, but more often. Shooting from a bench seemed to feed great.

I tried exactly the same in my M305 Blackfeather and they work better than any other mags I own. Must be down to individual rifle tolerances?

Without altering the mag itself, I wonder if sharpening the point of the spring guide would help keep it in place?

Also, when removing the empty, M14SA bolt releases. haven't tried that with partially full mag to see if it does the same.

Oh, and original AIA mag has no markings.

I have 5 and they all cycle well in all 3 of my M305s but the last round bolt hold open doesn't function with them

I only shoot from a bench though
