Bought a couple BATTLE PACKS from the big box storeS in Nanaimo..the package says "manufactured in UKRAINE'' 7.62x39 mm 123gr. fmj
well,the head stamps are 81 711 which indicate date of mfg.=1981
711 indicates KLIMOVSK ammo plant,which is not far from MOSCOW, not UKRAINE!!!
Ammo from the LUGANSK ammo plant ( Ukraine) should be numbered 270 / 904 /or 911.
Any ideas anyone.
