100 grain hp in 303, how fast?

That makes sense .I loaded up some .311 .32 ACP in a 7.62x39 for chickens .......would be fine in 30 cals as well. For .303 a bigger bullet may be more appropriate ie .312-.314 etc.

Going from memory, a number of years ago in one of the Australian shooting mags, a professional culler was looking to start his kids out with light kicking rifle round. Hornady had just introduced the XTP line of bullets, and he obtained a large supply of the .312", 100 gr XTP's to try.
The load he used escapes memory, but he shot alot of deer and feral goat sized game with great success. He felt the sweet spot for velocity NOT to exceed for proper bullet behaviour was 2500 fps ish.
Felt it the perfect under 150 yd, recoil less round for his kids, out of an Enfield.
For whatever that's worth ....

That is exactly what I want to do, a low recoil deer load. Anyway, I am going to try h322 because I have load data for 30-40 k, which usually is a good analog. Ideally I can get a load that has the same point of impact as 150 grain factory ppu.
I have found speed and recoil have a big influence on point of impact in my smle.
I have also loaded some over 14 grains trail boss, which should be a really light plinking load.

Yup! I load all my 303 cal with the 115gr campro. They mesure .313, perfect fit! I don't push them past 1500fps, accuracy fall appart past that, probably due to the thin platting.
I use trail boss or red dot.
Good accuracy around 2 MOA.

Anyone tried the Campro 71 or 115 gr. .32 ACP?
