Just moved to 100 Mile House. Love it up here, I fly-fish and this is my first year hunting. I was lucky enough to win a Doe tag lotto but it isn't valid until November.
I've been out there looking for a Buck but the only place I've seen them is in my yard! I'm not able to shoot in my neighbourhood...as the 4-point buck knows that eats my grass in the front yard. I don' know a lot about hunting but I'd really like to learn. I'd really enjoy it is any local in the area would either go hunting or have a beer with me and let me bend your ear.
Also, I was in the local sporting store and saw a petition to stop the guides from shutting down region 5 too hunting anything less than a 4 point. Also they want to shut down roads so you have to use horses or atv's to hunt. Finally, they are asking for guide only areas, where you can't hunt unless you are some rich non-canadian willing to pay for your experience. Anyone know how possible this all is?
