I stumbled across these on the Brownells website. 100 round and 60 round AR15 mags. Yes I know....we can't have them. Thought they were neat and thought those of the CGN croud who had not seem them would be interested.

I've seen crazy stress test videos on these things that show they perform exceptionally but have read more than a few comments from guys in the US saying they had a lot of misfeeds with these.

I will just leave this right here......

(a) too heavy; (b) can't get into prone position; (c) barrel won't last long.

The 60-round mags make more sense.

Honestly when I look at some of these 3-gun matches where they're using Beta C-mags I roll my eyes. A course of fire that requires that much ammo is stupid.

When S.H.T.F those pins are out... So Yeah I have alot of PMAGS...

But that much weight in a 100 round mag is silly at best,,,

Not sure I would use them if I could. Would really mess with the balance of the gun I would think. Oh and watching that grip they use creeps me out too. :nest:

I don't think it would mess up the balance that much. Would definately be heavy though. I noticed the weird grip too. Look bizarre.

That doesn't look like the most natural way to hold a rifle though... Or am I missing some elite operator secret?:p

Yes. It's the only way to reliably defend against bears. In fact, if you only have a stick, and grip it like that, deer fall dead at your feet, and male wolverines are impregnated for miles around. Happy New Year:D

Sure, buy some for then the world ends and there's no RCMP to arrest you for unpinning them. 2012 is coming, you know!

But seriously, I'd probably own a few if we could take advantage of the capacity, because why not?
