100 yard Mosin targets today..................

That PRC ammo is the ball ammo Tradex has the free shipping on.Seems to shoot very consistently, as two buddies also are running it in their 91/30 snipers.Gotta love 80 year old rifles that still perform. Harold

I shot a couple like that at 100 today with 2 different 30-30 rifles, but with apertures, not open sights.
My one scoped 336 shot a very nice ¾" - 3 shot group. :) :)

My 68 YO eyes and progressives cannot deal with elevation using open sights, lol.

I can still occasionally get a group close to 1" at 100 with my 38-55, with the Williams FP rear and Firesite front.
Nice thing about the 38-55 is the longer barrel, thus a longer sight radius.

I had progressives[hated them] so I'm using my old previous regular prescription.Also have some 203 gr SP MFS for moose + bear but didn't try them out yet.Guess I'll need some dies now......

Nice shooting. I'm having trouble with my progressives as well. When you say you used your old regular prescription glasses were they bi-focals or just single correction lenses?
 
Singles..........with my naked eyes either the front sight blurs or the target.Unable to focus on three things at once.Not willing to alter minty milsurp so they will be left in their historical state.I should ventilate a deer this fall with one just for the fun of stalking.
