Saturday August 20 – Langemark Range, Camp Borden
This is a relaxed shooting opportunity at a 100 yard range. You can shoot at Fig 11 targets, or can post your own. I put the Fig 11 up backwards and put black patches on it as aiming marks for my scope sights.
Shooting can be prone, off any kind of rest set up you like, or you can practice your hunting shots sitting or standing.
This opportunity would be ideal if you want to spend time testing various loads in a rifle, or just want to try out some rifles that you have not shot before.
CGN has a vintage rifle postal shoot. I will have a supply of the official targets. You are welcome to shoot for score for the postal match if you want. I know I will. I want to try a Mauser 98, a #4, a FR8 and a Ross.
Want to try a handgun at 100 yards? Here is your chance. (Leave your holster at home. Handguns will be left on the ground or in your range bag.)
This is a free shoot for ORA members. Remember to bring you membership card, please. For non-members there is a $25 activity fee.
