I'm using a Bushnell 1300 right now but I'm looking to change up to something that gives angle compensated ranges.

What's the best value out there for ranging game out to 1000 yards?

I have a Sig Kilo 2000. I’m pretty happy with it, it has been trouble free and does everything you are describing.

I think the Kilo 2000 was replaced by the 2200. Either way the Sigs are decent.

I've run most incarnations of the Sig Kilo, currently have a Kilo 2400BDX. I've ranged steel with it out to 1500 yards ( as far as my steel goes) and trees and whatnot out to 1800 yards. If you're looking for good returns on animals at 1000 yards, I'd pony up for the most powerful rangefinder you can get as conditions can wreak havoc on a LRF's performance.
