Anyone using .380 100gr bullets for 9mm?

I always stick with 124gr+ but thought it might be fun to push the light staff at magnum speeds. I think 1400fps should be easy with something like power pistol or longshot :)

I'm pretty sure I have the old Lee loading sheet that came with the dies they have loads for 90-100r bullets....I'd double check before loading anything. was just wondering if anyone tried it. Should be a lot like the 7.62x25 I suppose...

Modern Reloading 2nd Ed. has published loads for 100 grain bullets. Velocities range from the low 1,200 fps to mid 1450 fps depending on the powder. No Longshot listed in the book but that's what I'd go with.

Check the Hodgdon website. Some choices there.

I have tried 90 and 100 grainers and the do indeed sizzle. The are like throwing marshmellows though and the very fast initial speed falls off just as fast as it got going. Try knocking over plates at 50' and you will see that they don't have much left out there. I like revving up 147's now with Vhit. powder. 1100fps with these are exciting from a 9mm.
