Are 1022's with bands any more accurate than those without,out of the box that is.Looking to buy one,but don't much care for the bands,prefer the the look of the Sporter. Thanks for help.
Actually, the barrel bands tend to hamper accuracy. One of the first things many shooters do when they get a new 10/22 is remove the barrel band. I'm not sure why Ruger insists on continuing to put them on some rifles...
